To search by symbol or root for symbol information, click on the magnifying glass in the Chart, Futures Option, News, Detailed Quotes, Time & Sales, Fundamentals, or Market Depth window. The magnifying glass is located either on a page or next to the Symbol Search field at the top right-side of the window.
You can also access the Symbol Search screen by clicking on Utilities in the menu bar and selecting the Symbol Search option.
You can also search for symbols using a wild card. To use wild cards, type a symbol into the Symbol field and enter an asterisk, for example, S* or F*.
You can search by symbol and exchange by following the instructions above and checking the box next to Exchange, then in the Exchange drop down list, selecting the appropriate exchange.
You can search by symbol and instrument type by following the instructions above and checking the box next to Types, then in the Types drop down list, selecting the appropriate Instrument Type. This is optional.

To filter the symbol by exchange and instrument type, use all of the instructions above.
To view all symbol entries on the database, enter the symbol and uncheck both the Exchange box and the Instrument Type box.
See the results in the table at the bottom of the pop-up window. If you are getting a larger result set than desired or not getting the hoped for results click on the Stop button at the right to stop the returning of search results. You may search by symbol, keyword/company name, CUSIP, ISIN and other identifiers that may be in our database.
The Back button above the left pane allows you to move back one step in your search process, and the Reset button at the top right of the window allows you to reset the window and start a fresh search.
