About Symbol Linking   

Symbol Linking allows a user to quickly send symbols from a source window such as a Quote window to other linked, receiver windows such as Charts, Data Table, and Time & Sales by clicking the symbol within the Quote window.

There are two types of Symbol Linking Windows, Source windows and Receiver windows.   

Source windows are windows a user will click to send or link symbols.  

Receiver windows are the windows that will "receive" or populate with the linked symbol from the Source window.

Source windows for symbol linking are:

• Quotes
• Quote Grid
• Option Board

Receiver windows for symbol linking are:

• Chart
• Data Table
• Time & Sales
• Detailed Quotes
• Market Depth
• Market Profile

Window Symbol Linking can be separately configured within individual windows and can also be configured for the Workspace as a whole by setting the Source window defaults.
