Copy / Paste RTD Link

When you copy quote data to Excel, a RTD link is created. Excel will automatically update as new data flows into the Interactive Data data stream.

To copy quote data to Excel

1. With the Quotes Board as the active window, select the rows or cells to copy on the price page:
   To select a section of the price page, click on the top-left cell in the area to copy, then hold the Shift key and click on the bottom-right cell  in the area you wish.
    

2. From the Edit menu, select RTD.
   
   OR
   
   Right-click on the price page to display the context menu, select RTD, then select:

   • All Symbols

   • Selected Rows

   • Selected Rows With Headers

   • Selected Cells

   • Selected Cells With Headers
      

3. Launch Excel, and open a blank spreadsheet.
    

4. Click in the Excel spreadsheet where the price data should be inserted.
    

5. From the Excel Edit menu, select Paste.
   
   OR
   
   Press (Ctrl+V).
   Result: The RTD link syntax will be copied, and the data stream from FutureSource Workstation via RTD bus is established. New price information will continue to be fed into the Excel spreadsheet.

Note:  FutureSource Workstation needs to remain open and connected for price information to flow into Excel.
