Server Side Watchlists
A new section of Symbol Lists has been added: “Server Symbol Listsâ€. Server Symbol Lists are watchlists of which are hosted in the backend. These watchlists are maintained by ICE and can be updated automatically without any action from the user. When a user has such a list selected, the contents of the list are pulled from the data center and displayed to the user.
The intention of this new type of list is to facilitate the process of updating indices and popular watchlists when constituents change.
The server lists are read only and will change only when changes are made on the server. A user can decide to save a server list and make modifications however at that point the watchlist then becomes part of the workspace for the user and is no longer tied to the hosted list and will not update as a server symbol list.
To access Server Symbol Lists a user selects the list from the Watchlist widgets Symbol List dropdown box.
