To add or change a symbol, position the cursor in the field next to the Chart heading in the Chart Toolbar:
Type a symbol into the field. Hit Return on the keyboard to retrieve the chart.
Note: You can also use the drop-down list in the symbol field to display the last 8 contracts that were viewed on this chart. Click on a symbol or contract from the list, to select it for viewing.
When you add a new symbol to the Chart window, it does not impact any other window on the page, because it is not linked to other windows. However, if you add or change the symbol on the Snap Quotes, or if you click on a symbol in the Watch List, the Chart window symbol changes, if the window is linked to the other windows on the page. For more information about linked and unlinked windows, see Unlink and Link Windows.
Charting arithmetic calculations of securities and studies allows a user to more easily chart formula based on market data available via Connect. A user can create expressions from within the symbol entry field of the Connect chart to plot equations against multiple securities’ prices and other chartable data. Ex. =(GOOG.HIGH-GOOG.LOW)-(AAPL.HIGH-AAPL.LOW)
You can now toggle between having the chart window display either Symbol or Company Name.
This is done by selecting Header Display from the Context Menu
Chart Headers can contain All Symbols, All Studies, the Pane Symbol and the Pane Study
