A Watch List allows you to assemble a list of symbols that are important to you. The Watch List is very configurable. Note: The available configuration options depend on where you click on the Watch List window.
You can customize the columns on the Watch List. Either, select the columns from an available list or use the Heading option to display default columns of information pertinent to that asset class.
You can change the look and feel of the cells in the Watch List, for example, change the background colors, price direction colors, symbol presentation or text font. You can also add flags. Flags are used to indicate that an event or news story has been found that impacts the symbol.
You can create and save variations of a Watch List using the Symbol List option.
You can copy out a Watch List. This means that the underlying Watch List displays in a separate window. You can also delete the Watch List or make an identical copy of the Watch List.
Watch List has two views; the expanded view (Watch List) and a summary. Both are fully configurable.
The full view of the Watch List is used to see a lot of information about a symbol. The full view displays one record of information per row in the window.
The Summary view presents a subset of data for a symbol. You see several sets of symbols in the window. The sets of symbols, in the summary view, move independently. This allows information to be inserted between symbols. The symbols shift independently, based on options that you set.
If you use the Watch List as a portfolio management tool, choose the Portfolio heading or individually select fields such as, % Return, Cost, Gain, Gain/Loss Market Value, Purchase Price and Quantity. You can also add a footer that displays the totals for dollar-valued columns. For example, if you add the Gain column to the Watch List, then the footer displays the total gain for all of the symbols in the Watch List.
You can now easily access related IV and NV ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) Symbols from the Watch List. When an ETF Symbol is present in a Watch List, you can now Right Click and select Related ETF Symbols to insert the corresponding IV and NV Data.
