A Quote window can display mathematical expressions in the Symbol field. An expression uses one or more contracts, numerical constants, and simple mathematical operators (+ - * /). You may also use an expression shortcut on the quote.
Expressions must begin with an equal sign (=).
Symbols that contain spaces or mathematical operators (+ - * /) in their symbols must be enclosed in single tick marks ( ' ).
To use a price field besides the default field Last, such as High or Low, use .Field outside the single tick marks.
Examples
=('NG 1!' + 'NG 2!' + 'NG 3!') / 3
='W 1!-ENC' - 'C 1!-ENC'
= 'ES 1!' / 'IN A0' * 100
=('XRB 1!'.HIGH + 'XRB 1!'.LOW) / 2
=('BRN 1!-ICE'.HIGH + 'BRN 2!-ICE'.HIGH + 'BRN 3!-ICE'.HIGH) / 3
Mouse clicks maybe used to add Symbols or Symbol fields to the expression you are building. Keyboard stokes are used to add numbers and mathematical operators, such as + - / * ( ).
This click to add functionality is initiated by beginning a symbol with an equals sign = . All expressions must begin with an equals sign. This click to add functionality is in effect until you hit Enter to submit the expression OR hit Esc to cancel the expression entry.
